Ever since i was a little kid, ive always wanted to help people. at first i wanted to be a police officer. Seeing them on the news rushing to help injured people and saving kids from emergencies. as i grew up i started to see the conflict police officers face and how dangerous of a job it is. I started looking at other jobs i could do that would allow me to help people. Watching the news one night when there was a major hurricane, i saw the national guard along side EMTs rushing through water and repelling from helicopters to save people. I still remember how amazed i was by that. I decided i would want to be an emt who is enrolled with the national guard. I had this decision when i was thirteen, for the next three years, i went to the book store and bought every book i could over first aid, anatomy and emergency response units. I hope this summer to be able to intern at my neighborhood fire department.
