Peter Parker, after being bit by a radioactive spider, gained powers making him super human. He gained basic powers like super human strength, speed, agility, stamina, etc.. Not only did he gain those powers, he also acquired Spider-Sense which is Peter's ability to sense dangers. Along with his genius intellect, Peter creates suits and other inventions in order to defeat is foes.

His first appearance was in a comic made by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko called Amazing Fantasy. He was then given his own series, The Amazing Spider-Man, which lasted nearly half a century. Peter has also appeared in various "teams" such as the Avengers, S.H.E.I.L.D., and The Fantastic Four.
