The Oscars - History

The Oscars have had an interesting history. The Oscars have been known for making strange decisions in the past. They've been known for being quite selective in the types of movies they nominate for the Oscars. They normally like to give the biggest nominations to historical dramas, musicals, showbiz, or at least something made in Hollywood. Anything about showbiz would have the highest chances in getting the most honorable nominations. There have been few moments the Oscars gave those nominations to something outside of Hollywood or even Hollywood blockbusters. Normally it seems like a large company pays the Oscars to let their movies win or at least get nominated for certain Oscars. The Academy would normally be led to choose the "safe" movie where it's not everyone's favorite nominee but people can see why it was chosen. The Academy's decisions have been controversial, especially for Best Picture.
